This week on It Takes Two, we have learnt...

Monday

- Natalie Lowe had her baby at the weekend! Congratulations Natalie.
- Darren and Lilia think this series has been unpredictable.
- Darren thinks Dev and Catherine were potential finalists (also Michelle but that seems more legit).
- Darren's favourite couple was Will and Janette, Lilia's were Dev and Dianne and Michelle and Giovanni.
- Darren thinks the reason Karim is struggling with lifts is being shorter than Amy.
- Lilia thought Emma and Anton's waltz was great... before massively ragging on the footwork.
- Darren wants Emma and Anton to win, and Lilia wants Kelvin, or all of them.
- The last comedian to make it to the final was Julian Clary.
- Apparently Gorka and Katya had a whole storyline worked out for their dance to Niall Horan.  Something about her being hard to get even though she was cartwheeling with her foof wide open.
- Varieties of tap vary from jazz to postmodern. I have no idea what postmodern tap looks like and I'm not sure I want to.
- Katya is not a natural at doing these 'explain the dances' bits.  Or tap dancing, apparently.
- The classic "da-da-da-da-da da-DAH" rhythm is known as "a shave and a haircut".
- Chris has a southern accent in Rylan's head.
- Chris is really glad he doesn't have to do three dances.
- Chris's management were pushing him to give his 2020 tour some sort of Strictly-acknowledging title, and he refused because he was convinced he'd be out in week two and no one would even remember he was on it. Now he regrets that decision.
- Chris's son Robin is still ADORABLE.

Tuesday

- Kelvin and Oti's showdance is being done to 'Shout' - but the Isley Brothers version, not Bloody Lulu's.
- Karim and Amy's showdance is being done to 'A Million Dreams' by Pink, from the reimagined Greatest Showman soundtrack.
- Emma and Anton's showdance is being done to Irving Berlin's 'Let Yourself Go'.
- Will went to a dance class for disabled people in west London and it was very moving.
- Jill Halfpenny isn't sure she'd get on the show nowadays because it's much more competitive than it was in her day.
- Chris Hollins had never really watched Strictly before he did it, and he thinks if he had he wouldn't have done it.
- Chris thinks the budget has gone up in recent years because back in his series he wasn't allowed to do a kneeslide in case he ruined his trousers and couldn't wear them again the following week.
- Caroline Flack thinks she didn't get a call about appearing on Strictly, she thinks she called them and asked.
- Jill thinks Karim is technically the best dancer left.
- Chris hopes Karim wins so he won't be the smallest champion.
- Caroline thinks that being in the bottom two can sometimes be the best thing to happen to you, because it can light a fire under you to win.
- Chris thinks that Emma and Anton have chemistry, and also that they're the underdogs in the final despite Karim being the one that's bottom twoed twice.
- Caroline thinks that being in a Strictly couple is like being a relationship without the romance - you need the trust, honesty etc.
- Caroline's favourite couple chemistry-wise is Kelvin and Oti.
- Chris was also a last-minute signing after someone dropped out, and he had to leave his girlfriend (now wife) on holiday by herself for 10 days while he came back to do Strictly.
- Jill thinks Oti dances as if they're already the winners.
- Kevin and Aljaž have always been very supportive of each other because they joined in the same year.
- Amy and her twin sister used to copy Jill Halfpenny's jive. Wonder which one of them had to be Darren Bennett?
- Amy is VERY excited to be in the final.
- Karim's judges' pick dance is his quickstep from week seven - but he can only remember some of it.
- Karim's showdance is going to be FULL KARIM.  We might never recover.
- Karim and Amy's dance will be 'fun' and 'party' which doesn't sound like their tango, boo.

Wednesday

- Emma and Anton decided to dress up this week.
- Kelvin and Oti's training footage for their showdance is not looking good.
- Ditto Emma and Anton's.
- And Karim and Amy's doesn't seem much better.
- Emma and Anton have a tap break in their showdance.
- Karim and Amy will be going barefoot.
- Zoe thinks Emma and Anton's cha cha cha was record breaking, although which record isn't clear.  Most face ever?
- Emma thinks she maybe overdid the facial expressions in her cha cha cha. Y'think?
- Anton thinks his and Emma's waltz was 'pure'.  I'd say 'kind of adequate' but sure.
- Emma and Anton's showdance will be FRED'N'GIIIIIIIIINGE and also possibly a bit of a rip-off of Ore and Jo's.
- Emma and Anton will be doing their charleston again.
- Apparently there's an American version of this show called Dancing With The Stars? Well I never.
- Artem's favourite DWTS partner is the one he's currently dating. Shocker!
- Artem also had a partner who was blind and he cried all over her at the end of one of their dances.
- The baby Tess had during the early days of Strictly is now 15.  I mean, that should be obvious, but it still sounds scary.
- Tess and Zoe think showdances are a factor in whether people win.
- Claudia is in love with Motsi.
- Tess and Claudia really want to do an Argentine tango with each other. MAKE IT HAPPEN NOW.
- At the wrap parties the dancers all sit down and the crew and presenters all get on the dancefloor.
- The song that gets Tess on the dancefloor is 'You Got The Love' by The Source featuring Candi Staton, and Claudia would dance to anything by Little Mix.
- Zoe won't be at the wrap party because her son (and The Circle star) Woody is having a 19th birthday rave.
- Chris Kamara has a Christmas album. There is no God.

Thursday

- Kelvin thinks the worst thing you can do is give Oti free rein, and Danny Mac's showdance would seem to back that up.
- Emma's showdance has lots of "caneography".
- Thirsty viewers have been thanking Vicky Gill for Kelvin's paso outfit.
- Dianne can fit in Saffron's outfits and Nancy in Karen's.
- Vicky Gill has enjoyed a lot of Karen's dresses this year.
- Kelvin and Oti's showdance will involve a lot of pink even though Kelvin isn't a fan because he's so masc.
- The opening number for the Christmas special is being filmed at Leeds Castle in Kent. It rained a lot while they were filming.
- Johannes can really work a top hat and tails.
- Chizzy hasn't danced since she did the show.
- A little white dog is the spirit of Christmas (?).
- Giovanni isn't happy that Kevin gets to steal his favourite partner ever (Debbeh, obvs).
- Gorka is scared of heights.
- Perry Fenwick (Billy from EastEnders) didn't see how Emma Barton could be working with him all day during the week and then on telly at the weekends too, and thought she'd been cloned.
- Kelvin's celebrity supporter is Adam Garcia, who doesn't actually know him, but admires him from seeing him on the telly.
- Zoe and her friends were thrown out of the Coyote Ugly bar for trying to dance on the tables.
- Cel Spellman (Karim's celebrity supporter) loves a bracelet.
- Oti loves a fast dance but she wasn't convinced quickstep would be their first 40.
- A 10 from Craig is 'the ultimate'.
- Kelvin didn't think he could ever look as good as Gorka and Graziano.
- There are no dances that Kelvin hasn't loved.

Friday

- The show opened with a Zoe and Rylan dance duet in the main ballroom with backing from the pros which was adorable.
- Karim treats every job as his last. Millennial security.
- Karim and Amy will be dancing their jive in the final. There will be some little changes. Mainly the lack of backing dancers presumably.
- Karim and Amy are just calling their showdance 'contemporary' which isn't going to please couple's choice hatahs (the other two couples also appear to be doing a variation of couple's choice too).
- Karim remains a weepy woobie. As does Amy.
- Gethin thinks Alex will get to choose the pro she dances with in the final. Why, where's Anneka going to be?
- Chris needs to do some Polyfilla-ing.
- Anton's tan is quite disturbing.
- Anton still thinks last week's waltz was some sort of pinnacle for them.
- Emma and Anton will be dancing their Viennesse Waltz.
- Emma used to think ballroom dancing was high and floaty but was surprised you have to get so low to do it.
- Emma's mum's looking even younger than Emma these days.
- Emma has an adorable niece and nephew.
- Emma is as much of a weepy mess as Karim, but Anton is nowhere near as weepy as Amy.
- David has been DJing in nightclubs since leaving.
- Having 'Gloria' desecrated was the highlight of Anneka's life.
- Anneka and Emma were "Strictly sisters" because they had neighbouring dressing rooms and stayed in the same hotel.
- The Friday panel are Dan Walker, Sunetra Sarker and Vernon Kay.
- Vernon's highlights were Kelvin's paso outfit and Mike's general Mikeness.
- Dan's highlight was teethgate,
- Being back in the studio is giving Sunetra PTSD flashbacks.
- Dan thinks most people who'd watched this series would say the finalists were the best three dancers.  Sure, hon.
- Vernon wants to be the show's new stats man.  Can't be worse than Russell Grant or Jeremy Vine, TBH.
- Zoe thinks being in the final is like 'they've all won'.  So we won't even find out who's in first place, never mind second and third?
- Sunetra thinks Emma is proof that a fan can get to the Strictly final. I mean, I think being an EastEnder had more to do with it.
- It was a clean sweep for Kelvin and Oti to win from the panel.
- James is making pancakes for everyone tomorrow.
- Michelle hasn't watched Blackpool back and never wants to.
- Dev will not be blue tomorrow.
- The show is really trying to play the 'Kelvin's a novice' card.
- Oti was the pro who broke down quickest in these final interviews and the first to blub before the celeb.
- Kelvin and Oti will be reprising their samba.
- Zoe spent a lot of this episode crying, those of you who are looking for clues that she might not be back.
- Oti will be wearing trousers in the showdance.
- They let Auntie Cath do a little bit of presenting.
- The car crash group dance will feature pancakes, Batman, Downton Abbey and... Vogue?  Mmmkay then.
- James and David will carry on a special guest.  They can't say who, but I assume either Will or Jamie.
- Catherine still hates the cha cha cha.
- Mike made 100 people conga outside his village pub.
- Catherine had a bit of an awkward moment when 'Shallow' came on during her Body Balance class.
- Catherine wants Johannes to be her birthing partner if she has another baby.
- The show thinks its best bits include Rufus Hound, nope, cancel it.
