This week on It Takes Two, we have learnt...

Monday

- Mike did seek permission from Katya beforehand to do a conga for their exit dance.
- Katya's dedication to Mike's dance tuition extended as far as attaching sequins to his shirt.
- Mike lost a stone and a half doing the show.
- Johannes makes an absolutely darling backstage reporter. He had a little "press" card in his hat and everything.
- Giovanni had his first kiss at the age of seven.
- Neil used to be nicknamed "Hamster" when he was younger because he had chubby cheeks.
- Rylan will be on the television and the radio at the same time tomorrow. It's Rylan's world, baby, we just live in it.
- Anton thinks that we use "Fosse" now as a bit of a generic term for anything you do with a bowler hat on.
- Emma's parents are called Penny and Dave.
- Emma will be doing an American smooth in BLACKPOOL and it will be very "classic Hollywood" just for a change.
- Emma's favourite dances so far have been theatre/jazz and the Viennese waltz.

Tuesday

- Robin Windsor stans for Michelle Visage and wants to be her when he grows up.
- For those keeping score, Rylan seemed a lot less alarmed by dancing in close hold with Robin than he was with Artem.
- Michelle's response to being in the dance-off was "ouch".
- Michelle and Giovanni will be doing a street/commercial dance to 'Vogue' by Madonna in BLACKPOOL.
- Michelle is teaching Giovanni how to vogue.
- Michelle is genuinely thrilled to sample some BLACKPOOL rock.
- Emma and Anton are dancing an American smooth to 'Let's Face The Music And Dance'.
- Alex and Neil are doing a paso to 'Run The World (Girls)' by Beyoncé.
- Kelvin and Oti will be doing a jive to 'Jailhouse Rock'.
- Karim tried to do too many pivots in his Viennese waltz.
- Karim thinks the Viennese waltz is "gooey".
- Karim and Amy are doing a charleston to 'Happy' by C2C, which Amy thinks is appropriate because they're both so happy to be going to BLACKPOOL.

Wednesday

- Ian doesn't quite understand what "consistent" means.
- Kelvin keeps getting in trouble for not remembering to say hello to his daughter on It Takes Two.
- Oti end up simplifying her final lift for Kelvin's salsa between rehearsals and the main show.
- Oti hates choreography where people just walk.
- Kelvin has had a lot of holidays in BLACKPOOL and he's even been to the Tower Ballroom before.
- Kevin thinks week eight of a 12-week competition is "barely halfway through".
- Chris did not enjoy rehearsing the tango.
- The World Gurning Championships have been impressed with Chris's efforts.

Thursday

- Matt Baker won the stupid samba vote. #justice4julian
- AJ looks a bit odd when he hasn't shaved.
- Saffron and AJ still think Elton John writes the lyrics. Or at least they did until Zoe finally cracked and told them about Bernie Taupin.
- Saffron's quickstep to 'Marvellous Party' will be set at a - wait for it - marvellous party.
- Saffron keeps forgetting to breathe. Apparently it's the quickstep that's doing it to her, but to be perfectly honest I wouldn't be that surprised if it happens to her in everyday life too.
- Michelle loves group dance rehearsals because the cast all get to spend time together.
- Vicky Gill has dressed 82 couples for BLACKPOOL over the years (I can't really verify that statistic so I'm just going to cautiously take the show's word for it).
- Emma will be wearing red this week.
- Vicky Gill has taken inspiration from Mad Men for this week's group dance costumes.
- The show's favourite BLACKPOOL outfit is Susanna's paso.
- Chris doesn't like the term "basic" to describe dance moves because it gives a false expectation of how easy it's going to be.
- Neil and Kevin keep trying to make comparisons between dancing and football and Alex keeps having to tell them that they don't know anything about football.
- Alex has seen Beyoncé in concert four times.
- There will be some nods to Beyoncé in the choreography of Alex's paso.

Friday

- This week's supersized Friday panel is Jason Donovan, Ashley Roberts, Biggins, and Ria Hebden.
- Jason doesn't remember much about BLACKPOOL because it was all a blur and he flew to Australia the next day.
- Nadiya doesn't know what mushy peas are.
- Let there be no doubt: Nadiya is the undisputed heir to Pasha's VT acting crown.
- Amy has forgotten Dev already.
- Alex has forgotten Alfonso already.
- Having two quiz segments back-to-back might be a sign that the Friday show doesn't really need to be an hour long at this point in the series.
- Saffron appears to be developing a Scouse brow?
- Louisa Lytton's family beat Zoe Ball's family on an episode of All-Star Family Fortunes.
- Maisie Smith has done some street/commercial before, so when she inevitably ends up on this show we know what her couple's choice will be.
- Michelle would like to clarify that BLACKPOOL is not the Vegas of the North, it's the Atlantic City of the North.
- Jason thinks Emma and Anton are going home, Ashley thinks Chris and Karen, Biggins thinks Chris and Karen, and Ria thinks Emma and Anton. Presumably, in the event of this tie, Ashley gets the casting vote as the head judge.
