This week on It Takes Two, we have learnt...

Monday

- Joanne Clifton has had a bit of a glow-up.
- Alex needs to imagine she's got a big happy birthday badge on her shoulder that she wants to show to her partner in ballroom.
- Joanne thinks Emma B's main rumba problem was being a bit out of time.  I'd say it was 'Anton' personally.
- Joanne noticed that Chris and Karen's bums were out of sync.
- Samba is now another dance that is hard for tall people.
- The Viscountess thought the samba was "such a funny dance".
- The Viscountess's ribs still hurt from the samba rolls.
- Dianne is "the messy one" in the girls' dressing room.
- Everyone has their own spot in the girls' dressing room.  Janette and Karen share a sofa.
- The girls' dressing room contains a lot of bananas, a Tesco scented candle and framed promo photos of Will and Aljaz.
- Joanne would have liked to see Michelle channeling Jafar from Aladdin. Hopefully Sexy Jafar from the live action film.
- If you want a basketball to go further, slam it down at an angle.
- Rylan is doing this job for the free training.  No wonder he's having to take on so much other work to pay the bills.
- Joanne is not a "less is more" person. (Shock!)
- Joanne thinks a good way of aligning your arms is to imagine whacking a laser in Dave Arch's face.  I mean, I know some of the song arrangements on this show are a bit iffy, but that's harsh.
- Kelvin thought that being an actor would stop him getting nervous before the show but it hasn't.
- Oti is very happy about the outcome of the Rugby World Cup.
- Oti doesn't really hear what the judges say because she's still coming out of the dance.
- Kelvin's 34 for the Viennese waltz is Oti's highest scoring Viennese waltz.
- Kelvin most wants to impress the judges and Oti.  Not the public, feel free to reassign your votes.
- Oti wants to do a Viennesse Waltz version if they draw American Smooth.
- Kelvin thinks there isn't any technique in the salsa and you can just do what you want.

Tuesday

- The charleston was Mike's favourite dance.
- Mike is already preparing for being in the dance-off this weekend.
- Katya is very glad that Mike wasn't penalised for her mistake in the dance-off.
- Mike used to do a "funny fox" show for his sister when they were kids.
- This week Mike and Katya are doing a paso doble.
- Kelvin and Oti will be doing their salsa to 'Let's Hear It For The Boy' by Deniece Williams.
- Alex and Neil (hopefully) will be doing a jive to 'Let's Twist Again' by Chubby Checker.
- Michelle and Giovanni will be doing an American smooth to 'I Just Want To Make Love To You' by Etta James.
- Not all of Saffron's dismounts from That Lift went down quite so well in rehearsals.
- AJ doesn't give a damn about the lack of technique in his salsa.
- Saffron and AJ will be dancing a waltz to Ellie Goulding's cover of 'Your Song'.
- AJ thinks Elton John writes the lyrics.
- Also, why has nobody ever given Kevin a routine set to 'Grimsby' while we're on this subject?
- Saffron prefers watching ballroom to watching latin.
- It's AJ's birthday this week and he would like a 40 from the judges.
- AJ's face has always looked the same but his hair used to be a little less wild.
- Kevin's favourite dance of all time on this show is Ann Widdecombe's samba, so Kevin is cancelled forever.
- This year's celebs taking part in the Christmas special are: Mark Wright, Gemma Atkinson, Joe Sugg, Chizzy Akudolu (whose goal is just to get more than 16, it's Christmas hon, aim higher), Debbie McGee, and Richard Arnold. That is...a mixed bag, isn't it?

Wednesday

- The BLACKPOOL countdown has ramped up.
- 'Italian doble' is a phrase we never need to hear again.
- Michelle is doing sidesteps rather than forward running feet in her American smooth and needs to sort that out.
- Salsa and samba are similar, but very different.  Thanks, Ian!
- The developpé in the rumba was sort of Emma's idea. Accidentally.
- Anton thinks you can sometimes ignore the judges' comments because you'll never do that dance again.  Which might explain why he doesn't often win a dance-off.
- Emma was really embarrassed at how OTT Anton's getting through celebration was.
- Faye From Steps really liked Emma's rumba and isn't sure what was wrong with the judges.
- Emma wants to get a standing ovation from the judges.
- Emma's dance for this week is to 'Right Now' by the Pussycat Dolls - sadly not the Atomic Kitten one.
- Emma is in love with theatre jazz, look surprised.
- AJ is the rare pro who likes to use the actual names for techniques in training.
- This week Mike will be playing 'Michael'.
- Dianne loves dinosaurs.  Her favourite is an Australian one that nobody else has ever heard of.
- Karen worked as a cashier in a supermarket in New York when she was 17 because KAREN LOVE FOOD (and presumably having the money to purchase it).
- Karim's Viennesse Waltz training footage looks ungood.
- Ian STIRRER Waite thinks Alex is better with Kevin than Neil.
- Ian loves Emma Fosseing all over the place, look surprised.
- Michelle is a trousers girl.  Giovanni is STILL teasing us abut wearing drag.  Get on with it already, RuPaul's Drag Race UK doesn't have many episodes left for that sweet sweet cross-promotion.
- Whoever is styling Giovanni this year is doing a really good job.  Michelle.... less so.
- Giovanni thinks a memorable dance is better than another boring tango.
- Michelle IS an actress and don't you forget it.

Thursday

- Alex, Kevin and Neil might be a throuple now?
- Zoe says 'lots of us have thought about' changing pros and that's unexpected some tea I would like spilling please.
- Neil still doesn't know if he can be doing the dancing on Saturday's show.
- Alex has been dancing with both Neil and Kevin all week as Neil doesn't go to the physio until tomorrow to get signed back.  So... he's been rehearsing without being cleared, should he be admitting this on TV where BBC lawyers might be watching?
- Kicking in a jive is very different from kicking in the sportsball.
- The decision to swap out Saffron's sparkly gusset last week for a black one was safety-based.
- Vicky Gill thinks ochre-mustard is better than bright yellow.  Vicky Gill is wrong.
- Amy's dress for Saturday has a really ugly orange sheer bit on top.
- Craig is somehow trying to blame viewers for the judges saving Mike endlessly?
- Craig cites Ann Widdecombe as an example of what can happen when viewers rally to vote someone out of the dance-off, even though there was no dance-off that year.
- Craig likes Motsi sitting next to him because she makes him laugh.
- Craig also seems to be taking Kevin's side in the custody battle over Alex.
- Craig thinks 5 is the worst score because it's neither good nor bad and is therefore unremarkable.
- On the other hand, he loves 4s, 2s, 6s and 7s.
- Craig would have 10ed Karim if there wasn't any gapping.
- Zoe thinks Motsi's given the most 10s because she's new and trying to be liked.
- Nobody thinks Craig's 10 has any chance of coming out before BLACKPOOL.
- 'Let's catch up with Karim and Chris hard at it in training' is a phrase that promises much more than it delivers.
- The song that gets Janette on the dancefloor is 'Conga' by Gloria Estefan, for Kevin it's 'Let Me Entertain You' by Robbie Williams, and Neil favours 'Pony' by Ginuwine.
- The first thing Janette teaches her partners is not to listen to the judges.
- Neil has had a dance-induced hernia, Janette's torn her meniscus, and Kevin's ego has never recovered from the bruising it took when he forgot Ghostbusters.
- Kevin likes to watch wrestling.
- Neil's favourite holiday destination is Cambodia, Janette's is Walt Disney World and Kevin's is either New York or Cleethorpes.

Friday
- If you take a drink whenever BLACKPOOL is mentioned today, you will die.
- Snow Patrol are this week's guest performers and boy do they look uncomfortable about it.
- This week's Friday panel are Aston Merrygold, Stacey Solomon and Roman Kemp.
- Zoe thinks they're the most good-looking panel yet.  Rude.
- Stacey has just been on holiday, but did not get married.
- Roman thought Chris would be falling over every week.
- Aston is in a new CBBC series, playing a pop manager.
- Roman is Mike's lone remaining fan (apart from the judges).
- Stacey thinks Emma B has improved every week. Stacey was on holiday last week.
- Stacey gets her waltz and Viennese waltz confused in terms of remembering which one is supposed to be the sick-making one.
- This year's Remembrance Dance involves street commercial and contempowaft (?) and features Kevin and Gorka playing brothers (??).  Anton is playing a father, but it's not clear if he's their father.
- If you were placing bets on which pro would tear up the most talking about this dance you probably lost because it was Anton, of all people.
- Giovanni and Michelle are doing a foxtrot style American Smooth, and why wouldn't they after their foxtrot score?
- Michelle likes Fridays because you finally get to see how your dance is going to work in situ. She finds Saturdays more nerve-wracking than Fridays, and that's why Mollie King hasn't been able to get tickets this year, eyethangyew.
- Giovanni thinks 'American' is Janette's most defining characteristic.
- Similarly, he thinks 'taking a selfie' is AJ's. RECKT.
- Amy apologised to Karim at the end of their dance because they apparently fucked up their measuring-tape-ography.
- Rylan is in the bi-opic rather than bio-pic camp when it comes to pronunciation (i.e. the correct one don't at me)
- Rylan (or someone on the crew pretending to be Rylan) has immortalised Karim and Amy in plasticine. Guessing Hartbeat is the next TV franchise he wants to reboot?
- Zoe finds Chris and Karen tangoing either side of her 'strangely arousing'.  So throuples are the surprise storyline of this year, huh?
- Anton might make musical theatre/jazz his new favourite dance style.
- Zoe pronounces "gif" with a hard g, as is only right and proper.
- Chris and Karen are popular with 4-year old triplets.  They even call him 'Chris Ramsey'.
- Chris's tango face looks confused.
- Chris thinks this show might be working for the Blackpool tourist board because everyone keeps banging on about it.
- Chris would like to get to Blackpool because "it's a cracking commute home for me the next day".
- Jason Gilkison thinks waltz is the 'grandmother' of dances.  He also thinks it's the dance you learn first.  Not on this show any more.  Can you believe there have only been TWO waltzes this series so far (neither in week 1)?
- Jason Gilkison thinks this is the one dance that can drive people to tears.  Has no-one given him the memo about Couple's Choice?
- Chris is clearly angling for a game-show gig, and he'll probably be pretty good at it.
- Zoe is a bit too familiar with Mike Bushell and can easily identify him from his silhouette (more than once.)
- There was more effort put into making a cup for a silly throwaway competition between Zoe and Rylan than gets put into the great majority of trophies on BBC shows.
- Roman thinks Kelvin is a 'cheat' (aka a DIRTY RINGER) because he's too good.
- Aston thinks Michelle is the most consistent celebrity of the series.
- Yet again it was a clean sweep for Mike and Katya to go home from the Friday panel.
- We've even taken to celebrating the birthdays of studio audience members now.
- Emma and Anton's couple's choice needed TWO choreographers (Sarah and Alan).
- Neil is back in the land of the living!

Regarding "street commercial", are there any street dances which are not commercial, and are there any commercial dances which aren't associated with the street?
