This week on It Takes Two, we have learnt...

Monday

- Nobody on this show understands what 'shantay you stay' means.
- Michelle says no-one can feel good about leaving the show.  I bet Mike would disagree.
- This weekend's dance-off is being hailed as "the closest dance off of the series so far", despite it being voted unanimously in favour of one couple.
- Michelle believes she went out "in a blaze of gay glory".
- Michelle would like everyone to know that vogueing is a street dance, whether you believe it is or not.
- Apparently the song 'Vogue' was new to Giovanni which is the most shocking thing I've heard all week.
- Despite their pledge, the Frock Destroyers did not break up after their first single.
- Something unpleasant has happened to Baga Chipz' lips.
- Michelle thinks she might have been the first person ever to call Giovanni out.
- Approximately 178 looks were created for Blackpool.
- Graziano has a monogrammed hat.

- Nicky Byrne is a better dancer now than when he was on the show.  Marginally.
- The reason Motsi was late for the judges' pose at the end of their walk-on was because she had to go the long way around a bunch of cameras.
- Craig gave Chris a back massage of sorts before the show on Saturday.
- Chris doesn't just pull funny faces during the results, he pulls them on rollercoasters too.
- Amy is still on a BLACKPOOL high.
- Karim does indeed want Motsi's hairpiece.  But whether he wants her herpes is unconfirmed.
- Amy thinks they should have got a 40.
- This week Karim and Amy will be dancing contempowaft.

Tuesday

- The show still really likes to sexualise Kristina, judging by the intro VT they put together for her.
- She is looking amazing though.
- The Blackpool audience is loud.
- AJ said to Saffron "every great dancer had danced at Blackpool, and now you have too!" *shade rattle*
- This week Saffron has got the samba. AJ has been eliminated on the samba for the last two years.
- Kristina thinks Anton deserved his 10s (It's still all about Anton this week, Emma who?).  She also thinks Karim deserved 40.
- The pro challenge is back! This time it is about doing the most samba botafogos, the same as it was in 2011.
- The judges have all changed, and Flavia and Craig will be on the panel this year.
- Karim's contempowaft will be to 'Drops Of Jupiter' by Train.
- Emma and Anton are doing a quickstep to 'Sparkling Diamonds' from Moulin Rouge!.
- Emma's wearing a dress that is basically camouflaged with the set.
- Anton's highest quickstep score was back in series 1. It's really not looking great for Emma or for Saffron this week is it?
- Saffron and AJ are doing their samba to the version of 'Walking On Sunshine' that was reworked for the 2016 summer Olympics.
- Saffron can't catch a beach ball.
- Emma loved working with prop dancers as she felt less exposed.
- Emma and Anton were given two commemorative 10s by Rylan...on the back of the paddles that the Friday panel used to say they thought they'd be going home. Poetic!

Wednesday

- Ian thinks Amy has never done any contemporary dance before.  That seems unlikely.
- Alex and Neil's Argentine tango will be in 4/3 time as opposed to the more traditional 4/4 time.
- Ian is liking the look of Alex's boleyos.
- Ian thinks Kelvin and Oti's street commercial looks like an exercise video.  It looks like a ruddy mess right now, tbh.
- Ian thinks everybody struggles with samba.  Wasn't watching Kelvin in week 1 then.
- Emma's quickstep contains a lot of hopping, but she thinks she might have forgotten how to do that since she was a child.
- Emma and Anton seem to have inherited one of the other Emma and Ajlaz's training rooms.
- Alex and Neil have apparently had "thank you for empowering us" messages from women and men.
- Alex tripped up the steps during her paso - exactly the same way that she did in rehearsals, apparently.
- When Alex seemingly pointed at Neil when Bruno talked about her going wrong, she was actually trying to point to the step where she tripped.
- The broadcast was interrupted by sound problems, oops.
- We got a repeat of Jason Gilkison's dance explanations (sigh) and Johannes and Luba's lovely dancing (yay) to cover.
- Neil was the first celebrity to take this year's pro challenge and he decided to do 'a bit' in the middle of it. Still, he did 45 botafogos with one disqualification, leaving him with 44 overall.
- Neil was prepared for batucadas because he didn't read his email properly.  Or so he says.
- Neil's mum is called Julie.

Thursday

- Karen will be wearing braces on Saturday.  Not of the teeth varety.
- For her samba, Saffron will be wearing Baga Chipz's coat from RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
- Trent is doing the choreography for Bruno's big singing moment on Saturday.
- It involves a lot of fans, hats and capes.
- The theme is 'Bruno Tonioli Extravaganza Bonanza'.
- Ellie, the winner of The Greatest Dancer, will be performing a routine to 'Keeping Your Head Up' by Birdy on the show this weekend.
- Gorka and Gemma's daughter Mia had a lovely time in Blackpool.
- Craig thinks coming fifth is 'almost winning'.
- Nadiya was going for quality over quantity in her Pro Challenge. She had her latin shoes on and everything.
- Nadiya scored 20 with zero disqualifications, and Gorka scored 38 with one disqualification.
- Gorka thinks being beaten by Giovanni would be OK but to be beaten by Neil is an embarrassment.
- Kelvin wishes his quiff from the jive was his real hair.
- People in the real world really are doing Kelvin's flying push-up challenge.
- Kelvin and Oti are dancing to Northern soul classic 'Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)' by Frank Wilson this weekend and it's Kelvin's dad's favourite song.
- Oti has forgotten she did a couple's choice routine last year.

Friday

- The leadership debates truncated the show down to 30 minutes, which might be a blessing in disguise giving how much filler they had to pad it out with last week.
- Chris thinks some people say they really want to do the foxtrot.  Who,  who are those people?  (Bet it's Anton).
- Chris didn't realise that being in front of nine professional dancers was something he'd always wanted until it happened.
- Back on the first live show, if Chris had been permitted to do so, he would've left the room before doing his cha cha cha and never looked back.
- According to Chris, nothing boosts your morale like your pro partner screaming "WHAT?!?" when you're confirmed as safe on the results show.
- Karen is already apologising for Chris's paso.
- Chris thinks 'Run Boy Run' is 'a panic attack in audio form'.
- Zoe takes two sugars in her tea.
- Karim has apparently 'hung up his yellow trousers for another year', simultaneously disappointing his fans that they won't see them in the final and delighting them at the possibility of his wearing them being an annual thing.
- Contemporary is "not my expertise", according to Amy.
- Alex doesn't want to be sensual in front of the studio audience, which might explain why she had a Moana rumba.
- This week's truncated Friday panel was Ellie Taylor, Russell sodding Grant, and Anna Richardson.
- Ellie came dressed for Halloween for some reason.
- Anna isn't sure that anyone can beat Debbie McGee's Argentine tango.
- Vincent has helped choreograph Alex's Argentine tango.
- The 10s have pushed Emma further into anonymity as the discussion has once again turned to "ANTON COULD WIN!!!"
- Zoe doesn't approve of Saffron's training shoes.
- Saffron appears to have killed Paddington and turned him into a hat.
- One day this week the samba left Saffron in so much agony that they had to finish early. Although "early" still means nine straight hours of training.
- Zoe wants to be in Chicago but doesn't think they will have her.
- Ellie thinks Saffron and AJ will go home, Russell thinks Anton will go home (but not Emma), and Anna thinks Chris and Karen.
- Everyone recorded Zoe a birthday message but she only cared about her greeting from Johannes.
- Johnny Ball was in the studio but managed to evade the cameras.
- Emma is trying to rival Johannes in the natty hat stakes.

I'm not surprised Zoe only cared about Johannes' birthday greeting! It oozed camp and class.
